National Swap Ideas Day

Sharing ideas with the people you work with can be a great way to stir creative thought processes and move everyone toward a solution. That’s the whole reason so many people have brainstorming sessions to help their employees come up with more creative solutions to problems. Although idea swapping is an activity that should be done on a daily basis, there is a holiday that encourages people to swap ideas with one another. This holiday is observed on September 10th and is known as National Swap Ideas Day.

Ideas for Generating More Ideas

Okay, we’ve had a little bit of fun with the title of this section, but it’s still accurate. We wanted to give everyone who is observing this holiday some ideas on how they can help the people on their creative team come up with more creative ideas. We have listed these ideas below so everyone can check them out.

  • Ask questions about a question. When a person is asked a question, their brain immediately searches for the answer. This can lead to creativity.
  • Encourage feedback. People who are encouraged to provide feedback will usually provide you with more creative ideas.
  • Use idea-collection tools that can be found on the internet.

Observing National Swap Ideas Day

National Swap Ideas Day can be observed by brainstorming with coworkers, by seeking out answers to your questions on the internet, or by taking part in a collaborative hobby with a friend. You can also use the hashtag #NationalSwapIdeasDay on your social media accounts.
